Deer Pouch and Beret

Acorn Crafting

I wanted to share a pair of acorn earrings I was commissioned to make:

They are made from real (sealed) acorns!

Not sure if I'm going to add a vintage lace bow or not

I also made a key chain which I will be putting up in my shop soon

Wonderful Cleveland Trip ♫

Hi there everyone, sorry for the few and far between posts! Between college apps, AP tests, finals and other craziness, I've found little time and few interesting things to share u_u One exciting topic that I managed to skip over though was my trip to Cleveland, Ohio! My dad and I went the weekend after spring break to visit the college I wanted to go to. Well the school (The Cleveland Institute of Art was wonderful and we managed so see a fair bit of the town! I don't have any photos from the school, but here are a few from around this city:

Back in Texas:

Cleveland was wonderful, I can't wait to move in August ♥

Easter Treats ♥

I don't think I ever posted my new SWIMMER hat! It's from the fawn fur series (of course). I's a new style for me, but I think it will be perfect for winter in Cleveland. Plus I really love the detachable bow, it's so versatile ♥ But I think it matched my beret a little better ^_^

I also bought some white felt to make my mushroom beret ♫ I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring out how I should wear it though ^_^;;

I also scored some yummy Easter candy, just in time for my diet T__T I've lost about 4 pounds already though and my legs are very sore! My skin is also improving, I think it's thanks to the apple cider vinegar and green tea toner I've been using. I struggle so much with my skin u_u

Lastly, I updated my shop ♥ Here's a peak at some of the items:

ASOS

My detachable faux fur collar from ASOS.com came in today ♥ I have to say, there customer service is superb! I received several shipping update emails, it arrive very quickly, especially for international mail, was packaged well, and included all the necessary items if I needed to send it back (of course, I didn't!) Besides the awesome shipping and emails, the item is wonderful! I especially love the easy, inconspicuous closure. I think this collar due to the style and lovely honey color is going to be easy to coordinate and accessorize with little pins and other cute accents ♪ There are a couple of other items I've been considering getting, and this experience makes me want to rush and order the rest! Basically, I'm just really excited about stocking up on cold winter accessories for college~

Also, a quick update to my shop:
I have two findings left (after making a pair of earrings and phone strap for myself, hehe) so I can make either one pair of earrings or two phone straps. Please follow this link if you wish to purchase them, or send me a message if you would like to purchase just one phone strap. (I don't want to make separate listings, just in case someone tries to buy both >_<).

Happy Easter weekend!

April Lifestyle Ideas

  • Buy a packet of your favorite wildflower seeds (or seedlings) and grow them indoors - remember to try to avoid picking wildflowers (it's illegal in my state)!
  • Add a pretty shade of pastel to your outfits - try bags, shoes, scarves, accessories or yummy Easter candy ♥
  • If it's still chilly where you live, stock up on clearance winter accessories from ASOS.com - plus enjoy free shipping! (it takes a bit of page digging but they have faux fur collars, mittens, gloves, earmuffs, cuffs and more)
  • Familiarize yourself with a new variety of herb or edible flower - consider lemon grass, orange balsam thyme, pineapple sage or lemon verbena
  • Looking for new music? Sóley and Sea Oleena have very refreshing voices ♫
  • Consider coordinating a lovely cotton apron into your wardrobe - or a more practical one for cooking, crafting or working in the garden
  • Make easy photo displays using a rock and wire
  • Decorate a sleep mask with soft lace or velvet for more luxurious slumber~
  • Embroidery hoops with porous fabric such as tulle make easy and cute earring storage - hang them on the wall like cute frames
  • Aluminum cans can easily be cleaned and re purposed as rustic pencil holders - make sure that the edges are not sharp!

Monthly Challenge Theme: Mint

 Theme: Mint

In honor of spring and everything that is new, beautiful and vibrant, this month's challenge theme is mint! The color, the taste, the plant, everything! Mint happens to be just about my favorite color as well! It's cool, refreshing and attractive. Not quite green, not quite blue and just wonderful. Did you know that in many cultures, mint symbolized hospitality and was offered as a sign of welcome and friendship to guests as they arrived? Let's welcome spring this way!

Anyways, I encourage you to add a splash of mint into your life this month! Paint a wall, paint a bike, paint a picture frame, anything you like. If this theme sounds extra tasty, why not try one of these recipes? At the very least, add a small pop of mint to your outfit! May I suggest a light scarf, watch, sweater, nail polish, or cute thigh high socks c:

I'm loving these back packs!
