Christmas Gifts Part 1

I won't lie, I love getting gifts c; & I just can't help but share a few of my favorites I've received so far for Christmas ♫

Cute pearl earrings and stickers from a Lolita"White Elephant" (stealing) gift exchange

A cute owl hair pin from my Lolita Secret Santa ♥ (She knew I liked Mori also)

Adorable illustration cards/envelopes
I suggest YouTube searching this cutie ♥

Lovely rat vertebrae (?) necklace. My friend knows what I like XP She also gave me a Hello Kitty poster!
More soon!

New Milk Thistle

I'm crafting again (big surprise) and I decided to test out a few future Milk Thistle items. Currently, these are not for sale (only because I don't have enough supplies to make additional ones). I'm also planning on covering the earmuffs with fawn fur and adding fur pompoms/ribbon/embellishments etc.

Triple Berry brooch

Different version of my Sweet Strawberry brooch (I think I can make more currently)

Slightly different version of the original Sweet Strawberry brooch to replace the one I sold.

New cute Mint Chocolate double pin♥
Soon to be fawn-ified~

Mori Girl Secret Santa Part 1

This year, the Mori Girl LJ Comm hosted an international "Secret Santa" gift exchange! Although I haven't gotten my gift yet, I wanted to share what I got for my partner (since she already got hers). Here is the link to the master post of gifts so far.
I sent her a card, handmade deer fur puff, violet flavored mints, plaid scarf, gold feather necklace and far isle mittens ♥

I can't wait till mine comes! >.<

Monthly Challenge Theme: Evergreen

Theme: Evergreen

This month's challenge theme is obviously winter themed ^_^. By "evergreen" I mean the color, the scent, texture, motifs, anything that has to do with beautiful evergreen trees. Perhaps try a photo shoot in an evergreen forest, a trip to a Christmas tree farm, bring home a tiny tree or create an illustration study on needles and pine cones. The rest is up to you, don't forget to post your results!

Goodies from Grandma ♥

I love my Grandma ♥

She found this silly print for me at an estate sale

Dem shoulder puffs!
She also got me this wonderful box of lace, embroidery floss and ribbon *A*

It also came with this cute crocheted collar

On a side note, my beret finally came in! I think it looks adorable with my natural fawn fur puff ♥

I'm not sure exactly how to wear a beret, it's rather large in my opinion.
Feel free to laugh at my attempt to get a photo of the back of my head.

Another side note, I tried to work on a video room tour today, but I'm having trouble editing the video. It was taken on a crappy old digital camera and I just want to add text and a song. Does anyone know and good free video editing sites/soft wares? Thanks!

Introducing Milk Thistle

Designing my own accessory and art line has always been a dream for me. The idea of selling my handmade items and art has always stayed in the back of my mind. Well, I don't think I want to wait any longer!

I am officially introducing my line of art and accessories: Milk Thistle.

This is not going to be a very large scale endeavor, I plan to just sell online and maybe at anime conventions (along with actual anime/manga inspired art). I'm really looking forward to setting up and decorating a cute little booth table and talking to customers ♫
My art will incorporate various aspects and aesthetics of Lolita, Mori and Dolly-kei styles.

I hope to make and sell the following types of items:
  • Berry key chains
  • Deer puff keychains
  • Biscuit and French-themed items
  • Dolly-kei inspired hair pins and brooches
  • Different types of fruit, flower and food brooches
  • Deer puff and bow berets
  • Various styles of hair bows and brooches
  • Lace bows and pins
  • Small pouches
  • Button hair ties
  • Peter pan, fur and lace scrap collars
  • Vintage Odd Fellows collars
  • Mini stuffed and clay animal brooches
  • Furry headbands and earmuffs
  • Tassel necklaces
  • Prints, tote bags, buttons, key chains, stickers and stationary of my original art
  • And who knows what else!
As of now, I have several extra items avaliable for sale. I may later devote a separate page or blog specifically for sales, but for now I will post them on this blog.  I am by no means a professional, but I try my best to make durable and well-crafted items. I usually keep one version of an item for myself to use and then sell multiples of that item.

Terms of Sales:
  • I use PayPal. The buyer is responsible for the fee
  • The buyer pays shipping, I am willing to ship internationally, but it's often expensive
  • Please ask for a shipping quote.
  • If you would like to see my feedback links, I have Ebay and EGL comm sales avaliable
  • All items come from a smoke-free home.
  • Once I ship an item, it is beyond my responsibility (though you make purchase insurance or tracking).
  • Commissioned items my slightly differ in appearance.
  • I try my best to construct items well, but being handmade means they are somewhat fragile.
  • Feel free to ask any questions or make requests.

Deer Fur Crafting Updates

Hi again ♪
I just wanted to show off what I've made with my fancy new fawn fur so far c:

The majority of the jacket went into making this vest (worn photos will come soon, I forgot to take a photo of my outfit when I wore it u.u)

I also made a puff pin for my beret (that is taking a very long time to arrive, oh China...)
And a giant puffy bow!

One of my favorite pieces is this headband!! There are pearls sewn into the fur.

And last but not least, deep puffs!! Interested in buying one? Stay tuned for my next post ♥

Do you see my new friend? I love him ♥♥♥

I bought a lot of craft supplies during Black Friday (haha, I'm so much more interested in crafts than electronics or anything like that). I bought beads, a shadow box, ribbon, lace and a headband base. I also bought some pearl strand off Etsy.

♥Bonus♥
Here is a yummy recipe ♫

Rose Lychee Milk Tea
  • Peeled lychee nuts (can find canned in the Asian section of grocery stores)
  • Milk (about half a cup)
  • Ice (8 large cubes)
  • Optional: a tiny bit of rose water
Directions: Mix ingredients in blender, be careful not to add too many nuts, as this will make the drink very thick and "chewy". A more "watery" drink works much better. Another option is to add tapioca pearls, which can be found (dry) at Asian food stores. Boil the pearls according to the directions on the packet and make bubble tea! Enjoy~

I would like to also give a special thank you to Anya, who I won a lovely embroidered bow from in her give away. Thank you again!! I can't wait to get it ^_^
